Jon Matthews – Development Manager Tirion Group Ltd

Jon has over 29 years of experience in the residential sector and has gained a vast and varied experience in residential development. Jon started his career with Lovell Partnerships Ltd as a sponsored student. Upon graduating (1994) with a degree in Building Technology and Management, he started his career with Lovell working in Pre-Construction of affordable housing projects, Estate Regeneration Projects and open market housing. Within three years, he was appointed into a senior managing role in South Wales. In 1999, he joined Bovis Homes South Wales and South West of England Land team and after a short time was appointed Area Land Director. After leaving Bovis Homes, Jon joined Redrow Homes and regional house builder Redcliffe Homes working in their respective Land Teams. In 2007, he joined King Sturge LLP to set up a new Residential Department in their Cardiff Office and was appointed Partner in 2008. Jon returned to Lovell Partnerships, after the restructure at King Sturge LLP. He worked for the Leadbitter Group, Bellerphon Partnerships and Greenwich Communities. During this time, Jon’s prime focus was seeking new land led opportunities with partners involved in affordable housing, elderly care and open market housing. In 2016, Jon started his own Consultancy business. During his work with client United Welsh Housing Associations, he represented clients on the sale of land, acquired land for development and provided advice on potential residential developments. In November 2018, joined Tirion as a Consultant working on new opportunities and existing projects.
